Part J - Information on the sustainability indicators in relation to adverse impact on the climate and other environment-related adverse impacts

J.1 Adverse impacts on climate and other environment-related adverse impacts
textBlock HATX is an ERC-20 token issued on the Base network (Ethereum L2, OP Stack), which settles on the Ethereum proof-of-stake consensus mechanism. The Issuer does not operate any validator, node or other network infrastructure. The principal adverse impacts on the climate and the environment of the consensus mechanism identified by the Issuer are: (1) energy consumption: the estimated annual energy consumption attributable to HATX is 1,500 kWh (field S.8), the calculation of which is set out step by step in field S.9; (2) greenhouse gas emissions from the generation of the electricity consumed (Scope 2): estimated at 0.5 tCO2e per year (field S.13), the calculation of which is set out in fields S.16 and S.34. The Issuer expressly states that, beyond these, it has not identified any other adverse impact (in particular the generation of electronic waste, water use or any other use of natural resources), as it does not operate any hardware of its own and the share of network hardware attributable to HATX is negligible. The Issuer further expressly states that the conditions laid down in Article 4(2) and Article 5(2) of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/422 are not met, as the annual energy consumption reported in field S.8 (1,500 kWh) does not exceed 500,000 kWh. Of the supplementary indicators, the Issuer discloses indicators S.11 to S.14 (methodologies: fields S.15 and S.16) and the optional indicator S.19 (methodology: field S.34) on a voluntary basis. All indicators are estimates. The Issuer reviews and updates the information in Part J at least annually and without delay in the event of a material change. Part J does not use information from any other crypto-asset white paper.

S.8 Energy consumption
energy (kWh)  1500

Sources and methodologies

S.9 Energy consumption sources and methodologies
textBlock The S.8 value is an estimate covering the entire reporting period (30 September 2026 to 29 September 2027, the first 12 months of issuance), as HATX has no actual transaction history yet. The data have not been verified by a third party. Method: the energy consumption of the network is allocated in proportion to transactions. Formula: annual energy attributable to HATX = annual number of HATX transactions x network energy per transaction (precautionary upper bound). Step 1, measured baseline data: according to the report of the Crypto Carbon Ratings Institute (CCRI) "The Merge: Implications on the Electricity Consumption and Carbon Footprint of the Ethereum Network" (September 2022), the average power demand of an Ethereum node is 62.44 W, i.e. 547.01 kWh per year; the annual consumption of the network was 2,600.86 MWh, or 6.29 Wh per transaction (4,755 nodes, 1,132,081 transactions per day). Step 2, update with 2026 network data: the Etherscan Node Tracker (etherscan.io/nodetracker, accessed on 11 September 2026) shows 11,113 nodes; the estimated annual consumption of the Ethereum network is therefore 11,113 x 547.01 kWh = 6,078,922 kWh. As a precaution, the lowest daily transaction count of recent weeks is used (8 August 2026: 1,365,000 transactions; source: YCharts, Ethereum Transactions Per Day), i.e. 498,225,000 transactions per year. Energy per Ethereum transaction: 6,078,922 kWh / 498,225,000 = 0.0122 kWh. Step 3, precautionary upper bound: the calculation uses 0.03 kWh per transaction, which is 2.46 times the result of Step 2. This margin covers the uncertainty of the actual power demand of the nodes and the consumption of Base's (L2) own sequencer and nodes. Base settles transactions on Ethereum in batches, so the share of Ethereum network energy attributable to one HATX transaction is much smaller than that of a full Ethereum transaction; nevertheless, the calculation treats each HATX transaction as a full Ethereum transaction. Base processes approximately 11.7 million operations per day (L2BEAT, accessed on 11 September 2026). For the share attributable to Base's own infrastructure to exceed the margin (0.0178 kWh per transaction), Base's infrastructure would have to consume approximately 76 GWh per year, more than twelve times the consumption of the Ethereum network under Step 2. Step 4, number of HATX transactions: the Issuer forecasts 50,000 transactions per year (delivery of tokens to subscribers, the Issuer's own operations and further transfers of tokens). Step 5, result: 50,000 x 0.03 kWh = 1,500 kWh per year (S.8). Sensitivity analysis: reaching the 500,000 kWh threshold would require approximately 16.7 million HATX transactions per year, 333 times the forecast; the uncertainty of the estimate therefore does not affect the classification below the threshold. Continuous application: the Issuer repeats the calculation using the same method at least annually, replacing the forecast transaction count with the actual transaction count of the HATX smart contract (0xabf1ab94d0d4b2bec1aa34632decd7cc00edd2d8) shown on BaseScan, and the network data with the current values of the above sources. Deviation from the calculation guidance: the Issuer has no metered energy consumption of its own; therefore, as a deviation from the guidance under Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/2772, consumption is estimated by transaction-based allocation of network data. The calculation does not use data from any other crypto-asset white paper.

textBlock S.11 (energy intensity, 0.03 kWh per transaction): the precautionary upper bound under Step 3 of field S.9, which the Issuer applies to HATX transactions. Derivation: 11,113 nodes (Etherscan Node Tracker, accessed on 11 September 2026) x 547.01 kWh per node per year (CCRI, September 2022) = 6,078,922 kWh per year, divided by the annualised lowest daily Ethereum transaction count (498,225,000; YCharts, 8 August 2026) = 0.0122 kWh, which the Issuer raises to 0.03 kWh as a precaution. The value is an estimate. S.10 (renewable energy consumption): not disclosed by the Issuer, as no verifiable data on the energy sources of the network nodes is available to it and the threshold under Article 4(2) of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/422 is not met. The Issuer retrieves the current values of the sources again annually and updates the indicator using the same method.

S.16 Key GHG sources and methodologies
textBlock S.12 (Scope 1, 0 tCO2e): the Issuer does not operate any energy-consuming network infrastructure under its own control and therefore has no direct emissions in respect of the consensus mechanism. S.13 (Scope 2, 0.5 tCO2e per year): the product of 1,500 kWh under field S.8 and the emission factor of 0.33 kgCO2e/kWh under field S.19: 1,500 x 0.33 = 495 kg, rounded to 0.5 tCO2e. S.14 (GHG intensity, 0.00001 tCO2e per transaction): the product of 0.03 kWh under field S.11 and the factor of 0.33 kgCO2e/kWh: 0.0099 kg, rounded to 0.01 kg, i.e. 0.00001 tCO2e per transaction. The calculation follows the location-based method, consistent with the Scope 2 concept of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/2772 (ESRS E1); the source of the emission factor is set out in field S.34. All values are estimates. The emissions are not reduced by any offsetting mechanism.

S.34 Other GHG sources and methodologies
textBlock S.19 (carbon intensity, 0.33 kgCO2e/kWh): the network-specific emission factor according to the CCRI report "The Merge: Implications on the Electricity Consumption and Carbon Footprint of the Ethereum Network" (September 2022), which weights the emissions of the local electricity mix by the geographical location of Ethereum nodes: 869.78 tCO2e / 2,600.86 MWh = 334.42 gCO2e/kWh, rounded to 0.33 kgCO2e/kWh. The Issuer applies this factor because it reflects the actual location of the network's nodes. The value is an estimate. The Issuer reviews the factor annually and updates it when newer network-specific data is published. Fields S.20 and S.21 are not completed by the Issuer.
